Background information:
Leia was born from a secret union between two prominent pure bloods - her mother was a high ranking government official at the Ministry of Magic, and her father was an incredibly talented wizard who was training as an Auror. Their families didn't approve of the match, so they eloped in secret. Shortly after, Leia's father got entangled with Death Eaters, and ended up being lured to the dark side ((*is shot*)). He was revealed as a dark wizard, and sent to Azkaban. Leia's mother was harmed in the scuffle, and ended up dying in childbirth. She bore a healthy set of twins - Leia and her brother Luke. There was uncertainty of what to do with the two children, but in the end they were seperated and Leia was given to a member of the Ministry who knew her mother. He and his wife raised Leia as their own daughter, never telling her the truth of her birth. To her knowledge, she is their true child.
Leia was brought up with a strong sense of justice. She is opinionated, and if she feels that someone is in the wrong, she won't hesitate to let them know. Loudly. She is planning on working in the Ministry when she graduates, and wants to do something in law to keep the Wizarding World strong and just. She would like nothing more than to better her world as a just and safe place for both wizards and muggleborn. To that end, she has a secret ambition to become the Minister of Magic.
